DOD Spent $48,984,468,000+ on 225 Individual Contracts in May 2017

The U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) spent at least $48,984,468,000 on 225 individual contracts during May 2017. This amount does not include 25 Foreign Military Sales transactions worth roughly $1,832,159,000.


FOREIGN MILITARY SALES (FMS)Through FMS, the U.S. government procures and transfers materiel to allied nations and international organizations.


American Systems Corp.; Mag DS Corp.; Resicum International; Special Applications Group; Integration Innovation Inc.; received a shared $249,000,000 for FMS (Afghanistan, Greece, Iraq, Indonesia, Turkey, Tunisia, Croatia): security assistance training in support of Army Security Assistance Training Management Organization.


Boeing received $488,076,762 for FMS (UK): remanufacture 38 AH-64 aircraft, and produce three new Longbow crew trainers & associated spares.


General Dynamics received $40,815,838 to provide South Korea (60%) and Japan (40%) with Missile Fire Control System MK 82 director / MK 200 director controller equipment, and associated engineering services. This is part of the Missile Fire Control System MK99 framework, which is an Aegis component.


Lockheed Martin received $11,029,399 to provide Canada with engineering services under Acoustic Rapid Commercial-Off-The-Shelf Insertion System.


MD Helicopters Inc. received $76,700,001 for FMS (Afghanistan): contractor logistics support for Afghanistan’s MD 530F fleet. One bid solicited, one received.


Navistar Defense received $18,778,845 for FMS (Iraq): 115 medium tactical vehicles. One bid solicited, one bid received.
