July 2, 2017 (EIRNS)—On June 26, President Trump’s Press Secretary Sean Spicer announced that the President had evidence that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s forces were preparing for a “new” chemical weapons attack. President Trump responded that Assad would pay “a heavy price” if an attack were attempted.

Now the British press agency Reuters has circulated a claim late on July 1, that al-Assad government forces attacked rebels and/or civilians near Damascus with chlorine gas. This British claim has, as of July 2, not been more widely repeated in the media.

OPCW: No inspectors visiting the scene of the war crime at Khan Sheikhoun nor the Al-Shayrat air base from which the U.S. accuses Damascus air force of flying the jet carrying an alleged chemical bomb Washington claims was dropped on the town, no chain of custody of sarin ‘or sarin like substance’ samples from jihadi supporting Turkey, ridiculous claims from usual suspects funded by Saudi-backed NATO think tank Atlantic Council sock puppets of Bellingcat that Damascus would send OPCW samples implicating itself, and footage of White Helmets (accompanied by Russian speaking jihadists) collecting ‘sarin’ samples with flip flops and surgical masks for protection (because Bellingcat’s chemical warfare ‘experts’ say it disperses so fast) — who needs protective gear like the Japanese had after the Shoko Asahara sarin gas subway terror attack in the 1990s?
