Bankster Drug Wars: Financial Elite Reap Billions on Addiction and Misery

23-10-2017 < Boiling Frogs Post 88 460 words

Last year there were 23,000 homicides in Mexico, a level surpassed only by Syria. The record breaking homicide rate in Mexico is directly linked to large international banks. The illegal trade in heroin, cocaine, methamphetamine, and marijuana wouldn’t be possible without the money laundering services of large banks. Every major bank in the US has served as an active financial partner with drug cartels. The banks include HSBC, Wells Fargo, Bank of America, Western Union, Citibank, and JP Morgan, in addition to overseas banks operating out of New York, Miami, Los Angeles, and London. Mexico’s Sinaloa drug cartel and Colombia’s Norte del Valle cartel laundered nearly 900 million through HSBC. The bank was slapped on the wrist and told to pay a $1.9 billion fine. Nobody went to prison. Banks, corporations, and governments have dealt drugs for centuries. The opium trade began in the early 1700s as an official monopoly of the British East India Company, which conquered India, and ran it on behalf of the British Crown and the financiers operating through the City of London. CIA involvement in the illicit drug trade is well documented. The CIA was created by Wall Street investment bankers to do their dirty work overseas and at home. Sociopaths have no aversion to murder, theft, torture, and social harm created by drug addiction. It’s simply another business model.
