Interview With The Hacker Who Claims to Have “Swatted” David Hogg (Video)

On Tuesday morning, police in Broward County, Florida, received a disturbing call that led deputies and a SWAT team to the home of David Hogg, a student gun control activist and survivor of the February mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.

Hogg and his family were not home when the SWAT team showed up, and the cops quickly realized that the call was a prank.

As of the time of this writing, the identity of the person who placed the call has not been officially revealed, but a hacker claiming to be the caller contacted independent journalist Tim Pool.

Pool interviewed the hacker, and shared audio of their conversation on YouTube, with the following disclaimer below the video:

SWATTING IS EXTREMELY ILLEGAL. YOU WILL GO TO PRISON. DO NOT ENGAGE IN ANYTHING LIKE THE CALL DEPICTED IN THIS VIDEO. THIS VIDEO IS FOR NEWS AND EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY

They provided me with a recording that is included in this video as proof that they are who they say they are. It is possible this is a hoax on me however I believe the evidence provided does prove they committed this swatting. Yes I understand the ethical conundrum of publishing an interview with teenagers trying to get attention but understanding their motives and proving who they are is potentially more important to the public.
