G6, G7, or G8? The Post War British Imperial World is Fast Disintegrating

by Harley Schlanger, LaRouche PAC:

The British Empire’s 20th Century world — often mislabeled the “American Century” — is crumbling so rapidly that even the BBC headlined its coverage today: “Has Trump Broken the Special Relationship?” The President held an impromptu press conference on the White House lawn this morning before leaving for the G7 meeting in Quebec, where he told the press that “Russia should be in the meeting… It may not be politically correct, but we have a world to run.” The newly elected Prime Minister of Italy Guiseppe Conte immediately tweeted: “I agree with President Trump. Russia should be re-admitted to the G8.”

French President Macron had yesterday essentially ruled the U.S. out of the G7, even before Trump’s “sacrilegious” invitation to Russia. Macron said we can just get along as a G6, without the US, while German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas said that the discord between Europe and the U.S. can no longer be swept under the rug, and Europe will have to seek new alliances. With whom, one must ask?

Trump, in his press conference with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe yesterday, praised China, and described Asia as it really is — a collection of “sovereign nations” (not “democracies”), living according to “core principles which allow diverse nations to thrive and prosper altogether in one beautiful, peaceful atmosphere. We’re all happy about it. It’s what’s happening now!”

Putin, for his part, was hosted to a state visit in Beijing today, the day before the SCO Summit in Qingdao. President Xi Jinping awarded Putin the nation’s first Medal of Friendship in a grand ceremony in the Great Hall of the People, calling Putin “my best, most intimate friend.”

The G7 is in shambles. The Telegraph this morning posted a report from “allies” of President Trump, saying that Trump had rejected Prime Minister Theresa May’s request for a bilateral meeting on the sidelines of the G7. “No offense,” said one of Trump’s allies, “but she is basically a school mistress. I’m not sure anyone gets on well with her.” Macron, on the other hand, had scheduled a bilateral meeting with Trump, but Trump showed up late in Quebec and the meeting was cancelled.

Trump also announced that he was leaving the G7 early, on Sunday morning, skipping the session on climate change and the environment, in order to fly to Singapore for his (more important) summit with Kim Jong-un scheduled for Tuesday.

The G7 has been exposed as a anachronistic entity, out of sync with the new paradigm, which is centered in Asia, but is also reaching out to the entire world through the spirit of the New Silk Road. Trump is breaking out from under the Russiagate scam, set up by British intelligence and their assets in the Obama and Bush circles, freeing him to participate in the building of a new world economic order. This new order is rapidly coming into being, reflecting the “Four Power” concept presented by Lyndon LaRouche in the 1990’s — Russia, China, India, and the United States, creating a new world economic structure based on credit for the real, physical development of all nations, providing the necessary and adequate strength to end the very concept of Empire once and for all.
