The Sarah Huckabee Sanders Distraction

“I just served Sarah Huckabee Sanders for a total of 2 minutes before my owner kicked her out along with 7 of her other family members,” staff member Jaike Foley-Schultz said on Facebook.

Dems, libs, and progs pushed a tweet by Brennan Gilmore of the nonprofit green group Clean Virginia sky-high after the incident.

“@PressSecretary got kicked out of The Red Hen restaurant in Lexington, Va tonight. Apparently the owner didn’t want to serve her and her party out of moral conviction,” Gilmore said.

Moral conviction?

While this moral conviction wasn’t explained, it is obviously a reaction to the Trump administration’s child separation policy. Following an outcry over the practice—which Democrats supported during Obama’s reign—Trump signed an executive order reversing it.

Trump’s fumbling response did virtually nothing to quell the acrimony. Social media was once again alight with hatred for the president and his besieged press secretary.

MAGA keyboard warriors went on the offensive, calling for a boycott of the restaurant and a public flaying of its manager.

Thus another weekend’s social media feed dominated by what should be rightfully considered a minor incident and a political triviality.

This is how political dialogue works now. It is dominated by emotion whipped up into a froth by a corporate media that does propaganda work for the state.

Meanwhile, serious issues—endless war and a bubble economy ready to pop—are either ignored or given short shrift and spin by a manipulative propaganda media reading from government scripts. All of this is highly orchestrated and choreographed.

The Sarah Huckabee Sanders kerfuffle was slipped into place soon after Rachel Maddow cried on-air for the children of separation. Maddow should win an Oscar for her performance.

TIME magazine’s latest cover features a photoshop job of a distraught child—she has nothing to do with illegal border crossing mothers—crying at the feet of The Donald. TIME should win the Edward Bernays Prize for Outstanding Propaganda.

Millions of Americans now believe Trump is a child abuser in addition to a Hitler and racist cavorting with and taking orders from Vladimir Putin.

Trump’s incessant tweeting—often aimed at those who have bruised his enormous ego—fans the flames of distraction and keeps the propaganda circus rolling along.

Donald Trump is the biggest enabler of the distraction.

More grist for the midterms. Democrats weaponized the child separation policy. It makes no difference Trump flipped the policy with an executive order after his daughter and wife urged him to think about the children.

Breakers up ahead, swiftly moving to swamp the shore.

If Democrats take back Congress in November—and there is a distinct possibility this will happen—there will be hell to pay for conservatives and Republicans.

The Mueller investigation will soon become the busy work of junior prosecutors in the basement at the Justice Department. It was a sloppily contrived take down that fell apart the moment it left the used car lot.

Meanwhile, new distractions are being incubated. The Mockingbird media will churn out more innuendo, lies, big fish stories, and fairy tales to buttress the ongoing effort to take down Trump and return America to the care of elders like Hillary Clinton.
