The blaze at Welbeck Mansions on Inglewood Road is now being tackled by around 100 firefighters and 15 fire engines, the London Fire Brigade said. Footage from the scene showed firefighters hosing down the flames as first responders try to contain the fire from spreading into nearby buildings.

The 19-century Victorian mansion engulfed by the flames could be seen from miles away across London. So far there have been no reports of casualties; authorities have cordoned off the area trying to deal with the calamity. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
