The Indonesian tourist destination island of Lombok has experienced a 6.4 magnitude earthquake in its south-west, the US Geological Survey has reported.
The quake was very shallow which would have amplified its effect. USGS gave it yellow alert, which means that some casualties are possible. There's hasn't been a tsunami warning. Its epicenter was 128.75 km northeast of the island's main city of Mataram.
