In the eighty-ninth edition of the Russian Newspapers Monitor, Professor Filip Kovacevic discusses front page articles from four Russian newspapers: Izvestia, Nezavisimaya Gazeta, Moskovsky Komsomolets, and Pravda. Professor Kovacevic presents the confessions of a Ukrainian defector to Sweden about the alleged machinations of the Ukrainian intelligence agency, the SBU. He also analyzes the Russian response to the newest round of the economic sanctions proposed by a group of the U.S. Senators.
