7.0 earthquake rocks northern Venezuela coast – USGS
A powerful earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 7.0 has struck the northern coast of Venezuela, according to the US Geological Survey.
The deep jolt, registered at depth of 123 km, was most strongly felt around the Gulf of Paria area but has also shaken buildings in the capital, Caracas.
