Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein headed to the White House Wednesday afternoon after Jeff Sessions was fired.


Rosenstein to remain DAG according to reports, however rumors are flying that he will turn in his resignation within the next 24-48 hours.

Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein is reportedly on his way to the White House after Jeff Sessions was asked to resign Wednesday.



Shortly after Sessions turned in his resignation letter, a US official said the Acting Attorney General, Matthew Whitaker is expected to take over the Mueller probe.


Matthew Whitaker is described as a “Trump loyalist” who has been privately described as the West Wing’s “eyes and ears” in the Justice Departmentsays the New York Times.


Now that Rosenstein no longer has control over the Mueller probe, he may resign from his position as DAG.
