Here at ANP we have consistently documented the “fake news” pushed by the liberal establishment media over the course of the past few years. Detailed, conclusive examples of outright lies being pushed hard, all coordinated as evidenced by the exact phrasing in headlines used by countless MSM outlets, all on the same day, in an attempt to control the narrative, therefore control the masses.

Many of the stories surrounded the whole “Russia collusion” hoax, some stories stealthy changed, others being given editors notes, or corrections, with some of the worst having to be completely changed, including the headline, some deleted and retracted, costing high profile journalists their jobs, and in one case an unpaid suspension.

We could speculate on the reason the media has simply “gone round the bend,” whether it is because they want the control over the people they lost during the 2016 election, or whether it stems solely from the liberal bias, but frankly at this point, the reason doesn’t matter because over the weekend they crossed a clear line and their deliberate lies, their collusion on headlines, has now resulted in death threats against children, and suggestions to burn down a high school.

FAKE NEWS IS THE ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE

I am not going to reinvent the wheel here, so readers can click the link above, and this one for the backstory on how the media, spurred by a fake Twitter account (now suspended), jumped on a viral short video clip, without any facts as to the context or truth of the matter, which led to a group of Catholic high school students being condemned by the liberal media, Hollywood celebrities and NeverTrumpers.

While many have offered their apologies following celebrities, liberals and even media personalities demanding the students be named and shamed, and in one case “punched,” publicly for “surrounding” and “mocking” an elderly Native American man, which never happened as full video footage of the event revealed, others are still doubling down and attempting to condemn the students and the school, resulting in the school having to close on Tuesday to “ensure the safety of our students, faculty and staff.”

“After meeting with local authorities, we have made the decision to cancel school and be closed on Tuesday, January 22, in order to ensure the safety of our students, faculty and staff,” reads a letter to them from the school’s principal, Robert Rowe.

“All activities on campus will be cancelled for the entire day and evening. Students, parents, faculty and staff are not to be on campus for any reason. Please continue to keep the Covington Catholic Community in your prayers.”

Extra security was to be in place at Covington Catholic High School when students returned to campus Tuesday after threats were made against the school and its students over the weekend.

“On Monday afternoon the Covington Police alerted us that they had intelligence concerning a planned protest, Jan. 22, at Covington Catholic High School and a vigil at the Diocesan Curia. Due to threats of violence and the possibility of large crowds the Diocese was advised to close Covington Catholic High School, the Diocesan Curia and neighboring Covington Latin School,” the statement says.

President Trump, who has long maintained that “Fake News” media is the “enemy of the people,” has weighed in on the media malpractice and fake news surrounding the Covington high school students. On Monday he tweeted “Looking like Nick Sandman & Covington Catholic students were treated unfairly with early judgements proving out to be false – smeared by media. Not good, but making big comeback! “New footage shows that media was wrong about teen’s encounter with Native American” @TuckerCarlson.”

On Tuesday morning he followed that up by stating “Nick Sandmann and the students of Covington have become symbols of Fake News and how evil it can be. They have captivated the attention of the world, and I know they will use it for the good – maybe even to bring people together. It started off unpleasant, but can end in a dream!”

Ironically the establishment media manage to even lie about President Trump’s direct quotes in calling “fake news” the enemy of the people (one example shown above), consistently claiming he is calling all of the media an enemy and/or fake news.

NYT, Feb. 2017: “Trump Calls the News Media the ‘Enemy of the American People” – CNN, Nov. 2018 “Romney takes issue with Trump calling the media the ‘enemy’.” – ABC News, Oct. 2018: “Trump kicks off week with tweet calling media ‘the true enemy of the people’.” – CNBC, Oct. 2018: Trump slams media as ‘true Enemy of the People’.”

All the big networks manage to ignore the term “Fake News,” when quoting the president…… so isn’t that, in and of itself, proving they are publishing “fake news,” by omitting the most relevant part of his statements in order to claim their victimhood status?

We already know that any incident that includes a person wearing a Maga hat is always going to be spun negatively against the Trump supporter wearing it, and we also know that the media downplays and ignores the outright violence against those wearing MAGA gear, and that the media is going to collude to highlight the “MAGA” in all their headlines.

Seems awfully important to highlight the MAGA hats, didn’t it? When the full story came out that the Native America lied about the series of events that led to the image that went viral, some still concluded that by simply wearing a “Make America Great Again,” hat, automatically makes these kids “racist,” therefore evil.

The thing is, the Fake News media is not just the enemy of the “MAGA” supporters, they are the enemy of all the people. Look how they admitted they lied to Hillary Clinton supporters before the election by refusing to inform them how much heartland America “hated” her.  Look how many times they have used deliberate false news to raise the hopes of liberals over the past two years, with the “this is the end of Donald Trump” stories, just to have them become more outraged and angry when it didn’t happen as the media promised it would.

When the media lies, publishes fake news, leading to outrage, disappointment, anger and violence, that makes them the enemy of all Americans, not just MAGA supporters.
