Hamas and Israel have reached a ceasefire agreement following two days of intense cross border confrontation with Gaza, in which both sides have casualties, according to Palestinian media.
The ceasefire expected to go into effect at 4:30 am on Monday ( (01:30 GMT), according to the Times of Israel that noted there were no rockets for two hours before the announcement.
The deal, reportedly brokered by Egypt and the European Union, was also confirmed by a second Reuter's source as well a TV station belonging to Hamas.
Over a dozen Palestinians and four Israelis have been killed as well as scores injured on both sides over the week-end that saw hundreds of rockets launched by Gaza militants and massive air strikes by Israel.
