On the morning of April 11, 2019, WikiLeaks founder, Julian Assange, was arrested by the London Metropolitan Police inside the Ecuadorean Embassy. Subsequently it was revealed by the US Department of Justice that they would seek his extradition to the United States to face federal charges of conspiracy to commit computer intrusion.

Joe Lauria, editor or Consortium News, is joined by Patrick Henningsen, editor of 21st Century Wire for a special edition of the Unity4J online vigil in support of Julian Assange, to discuss the incarceration and illegal detention of Assange, along with his recent US extradition hearing at Westminster Magistrates Court in London, along with other guests here on last week’s special edition stream.
