FAA prohibits American operators from flying over Iranian waters after drone downing

The US aviation agency has barred all civil aircrafts from flying above the Strait of Hormuz and the Gulf of Oman that is a part of Iranian airspace, noting that “numerous” planes were in the area when a US drone was shut down.
