Although the SEAL was found “not guilty” for murder and attempted murder he was charged with “posing with a corpse” which is considered a war crime.

SAN DIEGO, Calif (INTELLIHUB) — Navy SEAL Eddie Gallagher, 40, was acquitted on murder charges on Tuesday after being convicted of one war crime “posing with a corpse” which will likely yield Gallagher zero jail time due to the fact that he had already spent months in solitary confinement leading up to his trial.

The 40-year-old was accused of murdering an ISIS fighter in Mosul back in 2017 who was nearly half his age at the time of his death.

The jury, comprised of several sailors, five Marines, and one Navy SEAL, was able to reach a verdict in just two days.

Gallagher was found not guilty of murder and not guilty of attempted murder, according to reports.

Gallagher’s attorney claims that his client was set up by team members who didn’t like the SEAL’s traditional approach.
