Everybody Is Blaming Trump For The Mass Shootings, But There Is A Twist That Hardly Anyone Is Talking About

by Michael Snyder, End Of The American Dream:

The mass shootings that we just witnessed in Ohio and Texas were unspeakably evil, and it is at times such as these that the nation should be able to unite in mourning.  But instead, the mainstream media and prominent Democrats are rushing to blame President Trump for what happened.  Of course presidents have always been targets for criticism all throughout American history, but with Trump things have been taken to an entirely new level that we have never seen before.  Extreme vitriol is being blasted at Trump 24 hours a day, and those responsible seem to take great joy in what they are doing.  But millions upon millions of Americans actually believe what they are hearing and take these accusations very seriously.  In the end, all of this anger and frustration is inevitably going to explode, and nobody will be able to stop it once it is fully released.

As you will see below, the two mass shootings over the weekend actually had nothing to do with Trump.  But that isn’t stopping the mainstream media from placing the blame for what happened directly on him.  For example, just check out what ABC News is saying

It wasn’t 24-hours since the first of two tragic mass shootings on Saturday and ABC News was entrenched and spewing the liberal hate that demanded that President Trump be considered the cause of the violence.

Suggesting it was “fair” to blame Trump for the shootings during Sunday’s Good Morning America, chief White House correspondent Jon Karl argued the shootings were “going to be something that he is going to have to answer for.”

And many progressive websites are being even harsher.  One leftist author even went so far as to suggest that all Trump supporters are somehow responsible for the shootings…

The blame must now extend beyond Trump himself, however, for his role in the White House is pretty now much that of a poll-watching pundit, who crafts his messaging based on what sells best to his base.

Put simply, he ain’t selling what his supporters aren’t buying, and what they’re buying is his racist discord and xenophobia, which is measurably and demonstrably getting Americans killed.

[…] If you still support Trump after all this, then you have demonstrated you’re totally down with his brand of racist, sexist, xenophobic hatred, the kind that is getting black churches, synagogues, mosques, schools, cinemas and malls shot up by far-right psychopaths all over the country.

Even though it is not true, opinion leaders on the left have relentlessly accused President Trump and his supporters of being hate-filled bigots, and this narrative is constantly being reinforced by Democratic presidential candidates.

Cory Booker made how he feels about Trump exceedingly clear during an interview with “Meet The Press” on Sunday, but his remarks pale in comparison to the incredibly alarming accusations that Beto O’Rourke hurled at Trump

“We’ve had a rise in hate crimes every single one of the last three years during an administration where you have a president who’s called Mexican rapists and criminals. Though Mexicans commit crimes at far lower rates than those born in this country, he has tried to make us afraid of them to some real effect and consequence. Attempting to ban all Muslims from this one the day he signed the executive order, the mosque in Victoria, TX was burned to the ground. Those chants that we heard in Greenville, NC — ‘Send her back,’ talking about our fellow American citizens, duly elected to represent their constituents in the Congress, who happen to be women of color.

“He is a racist, and he stokes racism in this country. And it does not just offend our sensibilities, it fundamentally changes the character of this country, and it leads to violence. And again, there are still details that we are waiting on, but I’m just following the lead that I’ve heard from the El Paso Police Department where they say there are strong indications that this shooter wrote that manifesto and this was inspired by his hatred of people here in this community.”

There seems to be a contest among Democratic presidential contenders to see who can say the most horrible things about President Trump.

Of course the Democratic base just eats this stuff up, and most of them simply believe that all of the things that are being said about Trump are actually true.

It may not happen immediately, but I have a feeling that all of the hatred that is being stirred up is going to have some deeply tragic consequences for our nation.
