Connecticut elected official claims ALL Americans have to turn in their guns because a couple of crazy whack jobs killed people
(Natural News) After a weekend of violence in El Paso, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio, in which a couple of disturbed nut jobs attacked and killed dozens of people, another wacko — this one a politician in Connecticut — thinks that all gun-owning Americans should be punished.
In an expletive-laden Twitter tirade, Pamela Parkington, commissioner of the state’s Third Taxing District (only a Democrat-run state would divide itself into “taxing districts”) argued with a supporter of the Second Amendment following the El Paso shooting, in which 20 people were killed by a shooter who hates Democrats and Republicans equally and who said that his anti-Hispanic, anti-corporation, pro-environmental extremism beliefs “predate” Donald Trump’s presidency.
As reported by Big League Politics, Parkington began the spat by writing, “Hopefully soon they will come take your guns. Signed, Americans who are sick of this s**t and your need for your f**king d**k extensions. Ps: real men don’t need a gun to prove they are a man.”
Like other Left-wing tyrants who hate the Constitution, Parkington claimed that only police and the military need guns:
They are charged with protecting the public and Country, you sir are not. Therefore no need for you or any other civilian to have them. Especially ones that are more powerful than what the police carry and are close to military grade. You’re (sic) f**king whining is tiresome.
The Second Amendment supporter responded by making a case for personal firearms ownership, but Parkington responded with: “Not whining, just f**king tired of people getting killed because small d**k fearful men can’t f**king function without a gun. That ain’t freedom hon.”
Our society is sick — this isn’t a gun issue
Obviously Parkington is upset by the twin tragedies this past weekend, which come on the heels of a shooting at a garlic festival in California last week and a number of other mass shootings around the country this year.
And granted, they do seem to be occurring more rapidly than ever. But there are several flaws to her emotional argument that need to be refuted. First and foremost, the Second Amendment…is a real amendment. It exists. It was drafted by our founders and ratified by the several states at the time. Can’t ignore it. Can’t wish it away. And you can’t pretend like getting rid of every single firearm in the country is even practical, let alone constitutional. If Ms. Parkington has a right to express herself via the First Amendment — and she does — then Americans have a right to keep and bear arms and to expect that right not to be “infringed.” Period.
Secondly, it’s understandable that the U.S. military be armed, of course, but in a country where all guns are, theoretically, banned, why would police need them? Yes, people could still use other objects such as knives to attack people (and police) but the thought exercise is worth having because what Parkington is proposing is so extreme.
Also, we’re not really sure why she’s associating gun ownership with manliness. Perhaps that’s a hangup of hers, personally. Maybe she thinks that males can’t be males without guns but frankly that doesn’t make any sense if gun owners are women, and of course, millions are.
As for what is causing all of these mass shootings, Democrats are alternately blaming the president’s “racist” rhetoric, the NRA, white people, Christians, traditionalists, ‘white supremacists,’ ‘white nationalists,’ and anyone else who disagrees with them politically.
The truth is, as The National Sentinel notes, they are the most responsible for the cultural degradation that is leading confused, mentally unstable individuals to attack and kill innocent people for the sake of it:
Before we start trampling on the Constitution again, let’s put our vast resources into figuring out why certain Americans feel motivated to commit acts of mass murder in the first place. That will necessarily require that we take a long, hard look at the damage the Left has done to traditional values and our culture.
