CBS Sacramento Interviews Researcher Denouncing 5G Tower Risks. No Mention That He Has Consulted For Telecom Industry Since The ’90s.

There have been many news reports from Sacramento and other California communities regarding health concerns from exposure to 5G small cell towers.  Activist Post has been reporting about this as well (see 1, 2, 3, 4, 5). One community finally managed to get a small cell tower removed from a school property but only after 8 kids and teachers were diagnosed with cancer.

Regardless, yesterday CBS Sacramento ran a segment – “Are 5G Cell Sites A Health Hazard? UC Davis Researcher Says No” – featuring an interview with Jerry Bushberg, who has long ties to the cell phone industry.

Many researchers say 5G isn’t safe (see 1, 2, 3) but they weren’t interviewed by the station.  Even scarier, in February, telecom industry executives gave congressional testimony that they had NO scientific evidence that exposure to 5G technology is safe.  So it’s always bizarre when journalists (see 1, 2) or researchers defend 5G and insist that it’s safe even though the telecom industry will not.

Thanks to Microwave News for providing more information about Bushberg:

“Bushberg, a clinical professor of radiology at the University of California, Davis, believes that cell phones are radiation safe. Last summer, he told the New York Times:

“We’ve been looking for signs of adverse effects at low levels for over 50 years without success. We can’t say it’s impossible, but if there is a risk it would be very, very low, or we would have seen an increase in brain cancers.”

In addition to his duties at the university and for the NCRP, Bushberg runs a health and medical physics consulting firm in Sacramento, the state capital. He has long served as an expert witness for the cell phone and broadcast industries on the health effects of RF energy, servicing, among others, Cingular Wireless (now AT&T), Crown CastleNewpath Networks, and Verizon (through Mackenzie& Albritton, a San Francisco law firm). Crown Castle calls itself “the nation’s largest provider of shared wireless infrastructure.” Bushberg has also helped town officials evaluate proposals for siting cellular antennas. In one lengthy and controversial case, he testified for broadcasters who wanted to site high-power antennas on Lookout Mountain outside of Denver.”

Wouldn’t it be great if CBS Sacramento could report about this as well?  They could also interview someone from the American Academy of Pediatrics since the AAP says that kids are more susceptible to harm from exposure to ALL SOURCES of cell phone and WiFi radiation – not just 5G.

Perhaps they could also interview one or more of the

who also warn that forced widespread 5G installation isn’t safe.

Opposition to 5G installation in the U.S. and around the world continues to increase.  Seems reasonable, doesn’t it?
