Lithia, GA —Unless you’ve been under a rock lately, then you’ve likely seen the unprecedented push by all levels of government to separate law abiding Americans from their guns. No, this is not some conspiracy theory. The president himself ushered in a new level of gun control doing what his liberal predecessor even refused to do by banning bump stocks and pushing for red flag laws. However, as states across the country seek to limit the ability of innocent people to defend themselves, people are disobeying. This disobedience is not only necessary to keep the tyranny of the state in check, but, as the following case illustrates, it is also necessary for saving lives.

Last Wednesday night, Jeremy King and his family were inside their home when two masked men — armed with guns — barged in. The armed men then demanded King give them money, while pointing guns at him and beating him. They also grabbed King’s 11-year-old daughter and were assaulting her too.

“They came in heavily hooded and masked. As soon as they had got the back door opened, they had a pistol on me and was grabbing my 11-year-old daughter,” King said to Bay 9 News.

“I’m telling them, ‘I have nothing for you,’” King explained. “(A)nd they’re like, ‘Give me everything you got.’ It became real violent, real fast.”

According to King, one of the men began kicking him in the head while the other pistol whipped him in the face. He has the severe injuries to prove it too.

“I’ve got a fractured eye socket, a fractured sinus cavity, a concussion, 20 stitches and three staples in my head,” said King. “I took a severe beating.”

While her daughter and her husband were being assaulted with deadly weapons in the living room, King’s wife — who is 8 months pregnant — was in a back bedroom listening to the horrifying commotion unfold.

Then, fight or flight apparently kicked in for the pregnant mom after one of the gunman saw her and opened fire on her. Luckily the bullet missed her, but when she would return fire with their AR-15, she would not miss.

“When he came toward the back door in her line of sight, she clipped him,” King said. “He made it from my back door to roughly 200 feet out in the front ditch before the AR did its thing.”

The first gunman who’d been shot would later be found in a nearby ditch, dead. He tried to rob the wrong family.

“Them guys came in with two normal pistols and my AR stopped it,” King said. “(My wife) evened the playing field and kept them from killing me.”

Unfortunately, the second gunman is still on the loose and police are looking for him.

As the gun grabber crowd cheers on the disarming of law abiding Americans like the Kings, what they are essentially saying is that this family should have died that night. Had they not had this AR-15 in their home, they could very well all be dead.

Also, as TFTP has reported, banning AR-15s would have very little effect on the number of gun deaths in the country.

On September 30, the FBI issued a press release noting they have published their 2018 crime statistics. Most notable about the report is the fact that despite constant fear mongering by the mainstream media and the government that crime is running rampant, the number of violent crimes decreased 3.3 percent as compared to the previous year. Also contained in the report were the numbers and causes of deaths in murder cases. Although the FBI did not make the comparison themselves, when reading the data we can see the number of murders carried out with knives or cutting devices was five times higher than the number of murders carried out with rifles. This comparison is particularly important given the current gun climate in America.

It is important to mention that handguns, like the one which was pointed and shot at the pregnant mother in Florida, were responsible for the majority of firearms deaths. It is also important to point out that all firearms deaths combined made up the majority of all murders in the United States. Of the 14,123 murders in 2018, 10, 265 of them involved firearms—a 7 percent drop from the previous year. That being said, the number of rifle deaths is extremely important given that this is the weapon most often targeted by gun grabbers.

“Hell, yes, we’re going to take your AR-15, your AK-47,” now former Democratic presidential candidate Beta O’Rourke recently said to a crowd in Houston, Texas. “We’re not going to allow it to be used against our fellow Americans anymore.”
