Multiple casualties in suspected missile strike near Lebanese embassy in Damascus – Syrian state TV
A suspected missile strike on a civilian building near the Lebanese Embassy in Damascus has killed two people and wounded six others, Syrian state media reported. It is not yet clear who is behind the attack.
The blast rocked the Mazzeh district of Damascus late on Monday night, the Syrian Arab News Agency reported, adding that the military’s air defense engaged a “hostile target” over the nearby suburb of Daraya.
A number of photos emerged on social media depicting the aftermath of the strike, which appears to have damaged at least one building, which also caught fire.
