Mexico tops the list of the largest lithium deposit in the world , according to the report ranking made by Mining Technology.


The report indicates that the mine of this element located in Sonora is the largest element deposit with proven and probable reserves of 243.8 million tons.

In recent days, members of the Sonora government have met with the Chinese capital mining company Ganfeng Lithium, who are looking to settle and invest in the region.


"They have more than seven thousand employees and are very interested in coming in January, they will come on a commercial mission to Sonora, because they are interested in being here, seeing the possibilityof installing and setting up a battery factory," said Jorge Vidal, secretary Sonoran economy.
