Impeachment Coverage Sends CNN Ratings into Dizzying Downward Spiral

As impeachment continues to trudge forward into the nether regions of American politics, the reverberations of the process are being felt the nation over; around water coolers, at the Thanksgiving dinner table, and most certainly within the realm of the mainstream media.
Impeachment has been all-consuming in many ways, with only a few sparse pieces of legislation becoming reality while the rest of the congressional cacophony continues to chaotically pantomime their own personal political feelings. We can blame the mainstream media, the infotainment industry, if you will, for this, as their widespread and smothering coverage of impeachment was meant to be a boon to their ratings and revenue.
For some, this has been true. For CNN, however, things have not gone according to plan.
Besides visceral hate for Donald Trump, one of the reasons CNN has been so openly aggressive in cheerleading for Trump’s impeachment is to boost its pathetic ratings.

Well, like everything else CNNLOL chief Jeff Zucker touches, that plan has also failed because the far-left outlet’s ratings took a double-digit nosedive last week.
While this is a slight improvement over the previous week, when CNNLOL hit a three-year ratings low, CNN is still unable to attract even a million viewers during its dreadful primetime schedule.
Compared to this same week last year, CNNLOL lost 14 percent of its primetime viewers and 15 percent of its total day viewers.
During primetime, the fake news outlet was only able to attract — in a county of 330 million where 88 million households have access to CNN — a pathetic, measly, humiliating 887,000 viewers. Throughout the day, the conspiracy-theory outlet was only able to attract a pathetic, measly, humiliating 689,000 viewers.
According to recent polling, the American people have been less than enthused with the prospect of impeaching President Trump as well, with very few polls showing any sort of movement on the subject as of late.
With CNN choosing to focus nearly the entirety of their coverage on impeachment, they have doomed themselves through their unwillingness to learn to read the tea leaves.
