Sorry, but no.

Kill it.  With fire, if you must.  With nuclear fire, if ordinary fire fails.

I’m speaking of NATO.

It’s worse than useless, it’s destructive.

Remember, the premise of alliances like this is that an attack on one member is an attack on all.

Well, Turkey is now attacking Greece.

Therefore the entire NATO alliance has just cause to destroy Turkey.

So….. where’s the massive European NATO response?  Why isn’t Erdogan presiding over a giant smoking hole in the ground?  Why isn’t he a smoking hole in the ground?

Of course we don’t want to talk about that, do we?  Nor do we want to talk about MANPADs that are winding up in the hands of “rebels” and apparently being used over there.  Oh by the way, those are likely ISIS-linked dudes with the MANPADs.  Who remembers Benghazi and what that was probably really about?

You do realize that MANPADs can hit pretty much anything flying at under 20k feet, right?  You know, like, oh, civilian airliners?  May I remind you that they’re small enough and easily transported and used by one dude (thus the name “MANPAD”) and as such once someone has one he can pretty much take it wherever he wants and use it on whatever he wants, whether you like it or not.

Military alliances can have their uses but they only mean something if they’re enforced.

You can’t have a member of such an alliance that refuses to respect the borders of other members.  Ever.  That’s not a member of an alliance that is a military foe and enemy of every other member, by the rules of the alliance itself.

If NATO is going to do nothing then Trump needs to walk away and take our soldiers, our equipment, our money, our bases and our technology with us.

If they want to let this go on, fine.  It’s not acceptable and not only do we have no business sitting back and allowing it we certainly have no business paying for it.
