On Thursday May 21, 2020 authorities say an Islamic terrorist opened fire at a Naval Air Station in Corpus Christi, Texas.

The suspect, who was killed at the scene of the attack has been identified as “Arab male” Adam Salim Alsahli.

Authorities say the shooting began around 6:15 am local time when the suspect rammed the north gate at the entrance of the Naval Air Station. Vehicle barriers prevented the car from getting any further.

After his vehicle was stopped, Salim Alsahli reportedly got out of his vehicle and began shooting at security guards, injuring 1. The victim was shot but was protected by a bulletproof vest. The security guard was sent to the hospital where he was treated and released.

Twitter user FJ (@Natsecjeff) posted a grainy video clip that appears to be cars lined up waiting outside the north gate of the NAS-CC when the gunman opened fire.

“FBI has declared the shooting attack at the Naval Air Station Corpus Christi an act of terrorism. SOCMINT investigation reveals that the shooter – identified as Adam Salim Alsahli – was ideological supporter of al-Qaeda (not ISIS). He also expressed support for AQAP online.”

“We have determined the incident this morning at the Naval Air Station Corpus Christi is terrorism related,” FBI Supervisory Senior Agent Leah Greeves said during a press conference today.

The shooting took place just three days after the FBI and AG Barr announced it found an al Qaeda link to the Pensacola Naval Base shooting that took place in Florida in December 2019, where a Saudi Arabian student opened fire, killing three sailors and wounding several others in the name of Islamic jihad.

The suspect, Mohammed Alshamrani, who was also killed at the scene, was a Saudi Arabian national who was undergoing flight training at the Pensacola Naval Air Station. FBI officials say he spent years plotting his attack for Al Qaeda while living in the United States, where he was also attending school.

Authorities say they are actively searching for a co-suspect in Thursday’s terrorist attack.

This is clearly an act of Islamic terrorism on a U.S. Naval Station. The suspect, Salim Alsahli is a practicing Muslim man whose educational records trace back to Umm Al- Qura University, which is located in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. Translated into English, the school attended by the jihadist who opened fire at the Texas naval base is “College of Sharia”, a large public Islamic university.
