A man has been arrested after driving a car into a police barricade at a protest against police brutality in Seattle's Capitol Hill area. The man reportedly fired his gun, injuring one person, before he fled the scene.

Video of the incident shows the man driving into a barricade. Protesters first rush toward his car and begin hitting it, only scattering after the man appears to fire his gun out the window. He then exits the vehicle with gun drawn as protesters scatter. The man was apprehended shortly thereafter by police.

Seattle Fire Department reported that one person was shot at the intersection of 11th Ave. and Pine St, where the incident took place on Sunday evening. A 27-year-old male victim has been taken to hospital and is in a stable condition.

Police reported that they "recovered a gun" after bringing the shooting suspect into custody.

The identity of the man, who rammed the barricade, as well as his motives, are yet unknown.
