So Bubba Wallace, forever now either Jussie Wallace or Bubba Smollett, whichever you prefer, won’t accept the judgment of the FBI nor NASCAR’s video surveillance proof itself, that in fact what he claims was a “noose” (and which, I note, he says he never saw in person) was (1) a garage pull handle fashioned of rope, (2) the garage in question, his, has a severed one and (3) it apparently had broken and been tossed aside in the garage to which he was assigned for more than six months before he was assigned it.

Oh, and such garage assignments are random too — so there’s no possible way for anyone to have known that he would be assigned that garage.

Instead of Bubba admitting that his own personal racism caused him to take what was a completely inoffensive device used for the convenience of his crew and view it through the lens of someone threatening a lynching he has doubled down, refused to apologize, and turned what could have been excused as an error into overt, outrageous, public racism and hatred of white people.

Ok.  You go ahead and do that Bubba.

The rest of us are tired of your bull****.

Now maybe — just maybe — NASCAR and the rest of the teams and drivers are full of screaming SJW Karens too.

Maybe.

And maybe, just maybe, so are the vast majority of NASCAR fans who pony up huge money to come watch the weekly wreck-o-rama on said tracks, overpaying by a factor of about ten for extraordinarily poor beer and ****ty food, and who are willing to burn up dead dinosaurs by the truckload to get very expensive RVs and similar to the infield “tailgate parties” that are part of the experience.

Maybe.

I’ll take the under on that bet.

And I’ll take the under on any belief that a “business decision” that devolves into eating yourself is a wise one.

This isn’t going to fade away, not when Bubba doubles down in the face of a detail of more than a dozen FBI special agents who show up, thinking there’s a possible hate crime being committed, get their hands on the photographic and video proof of what actually happened and determine, authenticated by the owners of the video and other surveillance data itself, NASCAR, that it’s bull****.

Smollett still maintains he was “mugged” too, never mind it being essentially proved at this point that it was an intentional hoax.

This might have started out as an innocent mistake by Bubba or some member of his crew.  It isn’t any more — not after his statement on CNN and elsewhere post the FBI investigation.

Now it’s irrefutably intentional and either NASCAR flushes not only him and everyone who adhered to it and refuses to apologize for their blood libel aimed at white people, who happen to be a huge percentage of their intended audience, or it is time for Whitey McWhite to declare economic war on NASCAR and every one of their sponsors on a permanent, irrevocable basis until both are destroyed.

We can build, on the rubble, an actual stock car racing circuit.  One where the only limit to innovation and decision-making by the teams is a set number of gallons of a fixed specification of fuel.  You have this many BTUs to go this many miles during the race.  Run out and you lose. We can also mandate that whatever vehicle you use as your base must be one you can buy at retail, plus, of course, adding a roll cage and fuel cell.  How you exploit that allotment of fuel — what engine decisions you make, what chassis decisions you make, etc — is up to you.  Get some actual diversity back into the game — something that’s been gone for a long time.
