Huge explosion rocks Iranian capital Tehran (VIDEOS)
A huge blast has been reported in the northern part of Tehran, with locals posting footage of an explosion and images of thick, black smoke rising into the sky over the city.
Iran’s ISNA news agency published footage of the scene but did not provide further information about the possible cause. Other online videos, which purport to have captured the incident, also showed a descending whirl of sparks and a major fire at the scene.
Twitter users said that the explosion happened at a building not far from Tajrish Square, one of the busiest areas of the capital.
