Turning impeachment into a partisan joke.

Nancy Pelosi refused to rule out trying to impeach President Donald Trump AGAIN if he nominates a Supreme Court justice to replace the recently deceased Ruth Bader Ginsberg before the November election.

Pelosi was speaking to corporate news operative George Stephanopoulos on Sunday.

“Well, we have our options… We have arrows in our quiver that I’m not about to discuss right now.” Pelosi was speaking about the possibility of impeaching Attorney General Bill Barr as well as Trump, who has increasingly become a source of extreme frustration for D.C. liberals who desire a Justice Department beholden to their policy priorities.

President Trump has confirmed that he plans on nominating a Justice to fill the vacancy, revealing he’s planning on selecting a woman for the court seat at a North Carolina rally over the weekend.

If Trump nominates a justice who is confirmed and goes on to secure a second term in the November presidential election, a hypothetical second impeachment proceeding could set up a truly hilarious scenario. Democrats would be trying to impeach a President who just secured victory in a democratic election, truly going above and beyond in trying to override the decision of the people.

Perhaps the impeachment powers of the House of Representatives are destined to become merely another partisan, political trick utilized by the Democratic Party against any Republican President. This could basically turn the American political system into a de facto parliamentary system in which the opposition party seeks to impeach the head of state on a routine, political basis.
