Company is meeting with World Health Organisation EVERY WEEK

YouTube, which is owned by Google, will remove and ban any videos that make “medically unsubstantiated” claims regarding the coronavirus and the vaccines being developed in its name by big pharma.

Specifically, YouTube says that it is targeting “conspiracy theories” contending that the vaccine agenda has a nefarious purpose, such as sterilisation, depopulation, or mass surveillance.

In an email obtained by Reuters, the company announced that it will remove content that “promotes misinformation” about COVID-19 vaccines.

It defines “misinformation” as anything which contradicts guidance from government health authorities or the World Health Organization, So any opinion that doesn’t match what the authorities say, basically.

The company told reporters that it will allow videos covering “broad concerns” over the vaccine to remain on the platform.

This latest move is more of the same from YouTube, which is already removing any videos that encourage viewers not to wear masks or adhere to social distancing rules, as well as “medically unsubstantiated” methods of treatment.

YouTube boasted in the email that it has already removed over 200,000 videos containing “dangerous or misleading COVID-19 information”.

The company appears to be taking direct orders from the World Health Organisation.

Andy Pattison, manager of digital solutions at the WHO, told Reuters that the global body meets with the policy team at YouTube every single week to discuss what content has become popular, and what is potentially “problematic”.

Reuters notes that YouTube has said it will be announcing more steps in the coming weeks to “emphasize authoritative information about COVID-19 vaccines on the site.”

YouTube’s latest censorship move comes just hours after Bill Gates again complained that he has become the target of ‘baseless anti-vaxxer conspiracy theories’ that have gained ground in recent months.

Youtube’s crackdown also comes amid a furore over Facebook and Twitter censoring content relating to Joe Biden’s foreign lobbying scandal.

Both social media companies are also actively censoring posts and videos containing content that contradicts WHO and government statements and stances on the coronavirus.
