Donald Trump—Masks Off, by Yvonne Lorenzo

On February 6th of this year, Brad Griffin wrote an article for Occidental Dissent republished on Unz.com titled, “Trump’s Chumps,” in which he makes the convincing argument that Trump for those that had hope he would somehow change the game in American politics, and make things better were chumps but he doesn’t discuss Trump’s foreign policy. I followed the work of Stephen F. Cohen, who as a voice crying in the wilderness warning of the dangers of a “new Cold War” that would be even more dangerous than the time of the Cuban missile crisis; if anything, America has under Trump a more belligerent and aggressive foreign policy, with a blank check given to the “Military Industrial Media Congressional Financial” complex.

So, while being disappointed in how things have turned out on many levels, I do want to give credit to President Trump where credit is due; perhaps inadvertently, he has exposed the establishment as corrupt incompetents, especially the members of the national security state.

For if it were not for Trump, how would we have learned that “Russiagate” was in fact an insipid hoax without facts or evidence, and actually “Intelgate” as documented on the pages of Unz.com, and in the writings of Stephen F. Cohen, Aaron Maté at The Nation, The Grayzone and Real Clear Politics; and Ray McGovern on Consortium News, to name just a few alternative media sites.

In addition, the transcript of the telephone call between Michael Flynn and (former) Ambassador Kislyak indicates Trump did indeed have at the time a desire for improving relations with Russia (although Phil Giraldi on Unz.com revealed the motives for the call.)

What is making headlines now is the revelation of Hunter Biden’s laptop. Glenn Greenwald interviewed on October 19th by Tucker Carlson noted as Real Clear Politics reported (the YouTube channel of Fox News doesn’t have the below video) in which he discusses yet another embarrassing attempt by the geniuses in the “Deep State” to blame Russia without facts or evidence:

“Adam Schiff is seriously the most pathological liar in all of American politics that I’ve seen in all of my time covering politics and journalism,” Greenwald said on ‘Tucker Carlson Tonight.’ “He just fabricates accusations at the drop of the hat at the other people change underwear. He’s simply lying when he just asserts over and over that the Russians or the Kremlin are behind the story. He has no idea whether or not that is true. There is no evidence to support it.”

“And what makes it so much worse is that the reason that the Bidens aren’t answering basic questions about the story,” Greenwald said. “Basic questions like did Hunter Biden drop that laptop off of the repair shop? Are the emails authentic? Do you know denied that they are. Do you claim that any have been altered or are any of them fabricated? Did you in fact meet with Barisma executives? The reason they don’t answer the questions is because the media has signaled that they don’t have to. That journalists will be attacked and vilified simply for asking.”

“The whole point of the Intelligence Community since the end of World War II was that whatever propaganda the CIA produces, whatever disinformation campaigns they engaged were never supposed to be directed domestically,” he said. “That was the point of the NSA, the CIA, and all those intelligence communities.”

“What we have seen since 2016 going back to the 2016 campaign is incessant involvement in U.S. domestic politics. Working with journalists to disseminate purely for partisan ends. If you want to talk about things like violating norms, and dangers to democracy, what’s more dangerous than allowing the CIA constantly to be manipulating our politics by making cover for the Biden campaign by claiming anonymously that the Russians are behind the story and therefore you disregard it…

“The much bigger point is the way that the information is being disseminated,” he said. “It is a union of journalists who have decided that their only goal is to defend Joe Biden and election him president of the United States working with the FBI, CIA, NSA not to manipulate our adversaries or foreign governments, but to manipulate the American people for their own ends. It’s been going on for four straight years now and there’s no sign of it stopping anytime soon.”

Aaron Maté tweets about the usual suspects:

What make the latest “Russia, Russia, Russia” hysteria both crazy and verifies how incompetent its proponents are is that DNI Ratcliffe, who does all intelligence briefings, has verified Russia has nothing to do with it, at this article and video on Real Clear Politics shows; so no Intel agency can corroborate a strictly domestic matter. (I also note that this video interview hasn’t been posted on Fox Business’s YouTube channel.)

Director Of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe told Fox Business on Monday morning that Hunter Biden’s laptop and emails are not part of a Russian disinformation campaign.

“It’s funny that some of the people that complained the most about intelligence being politicized are the ones politicizing intelligence and unfortunately in this case, it is Adam Schiff, the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, who as you pointed out on Friday said that the intelligence community believes that Hunter Biden’s laptop and e-mails on it are part of some Russian disinformation campaign,” he said.

“Let me be clear, the intelligence community doesn’t believe that because there is no intelligence that supports and we shared no intelligence with chairman Schiff or any other member of Congress that Hunter Biden’s laptop is part of some Russian disinformation campaign. It’s simply not true.”

“Hunter Biden’s laptop is not part of some Russian disinformation campaign and I think it’s clear the American people know that,” he said.

As Larry C. Johnson writes on the Sic Semper Tyrannis site, “Yes, The Hunter Biden emails Are Authentic”:

This is the story of an American patriot, an honorable man, John Paul Mac Isaac, who tried to do the right thing and is now being unfairly and maliciously slandered as an agent of foreign intelligence, specifically Russia. He is not an agent or spy for anyone. He is his own man. How do I know? I have known his dad for more than 20 years. I’ve known John Paul’s dad as “Mac.” Mac is a decorated Vietnam Veteran, who flew gunships in Vietnam. And he continued his military service with an impeccable record until he retired as an Air Force Colonel. The crews of those gunships have an annual reunion and Mac usually takes John Paul along, who volunteers his computer and video skills to record and compile the stories of those brave men who served their country in a difficult war.

This story is very simple—Hunter Biden dropped off three computers with liquid damage at a repair shop in Wilmington, Delaware on April 12, 2019. The owner, John Paul Mac Isaac, examined the three and determined that one was beyond recovery, one was okay and the data on the hard drive of the third could be recovered. Hunter signed the service ticket and John Paul Mac Isaac repaired the hard drive and down loaded the data. During this process he saw some disturbing images and a number of emails that concerned Ukraine, Burisma, China and other issues. With the work completed, Mr. Mac Isaac prepared an invoice, sent it to Hunter Biden and notified him that the computer was ready to be retrieved. Hunter did not respond. In the ensuing four months (May, June, July and August), Mr. Mac Isaac made repeated efforts to contact Hunter Biden. Biden never answered and never responded. More importantly, Biden stiffed John Paul Mac Issac—i.e., he did not pay the bill…

The lack of action and communication with the FBI led John Paul to make the fateful decision to contact Rudy Giuliani’s office and offer a copy of the drive to the former mayor. We now know that Rudy accepted John Paul’s offer and that Rudy’s team shared the information with the New York Post.

John Paul Mac Issac is not responsible for the emails, images and videos recovered from Hunter Biden’s computer. He was hired to do a job, he did the job and submitted an invoice for the work. Hunter Biden, for some unexplained reason, never responded and never asked for the computer. But that changed last Tuesday, October 13, 2020. A person claiming to be Hunter Biden’s lawyer called John Paul Mac Isaac and asked for the computer to be returned. Too late. That horse had left the barn and was with the FBI.

John Paul, acting under Delaware law, understood that Hunter’s computer became the property of his business 90 days after it had been abandoned.

And as Australian Journalist Caitlin Johnstone wrote on October 18th in “‘The Emails Are Russian’ Will Be The Narrative, Regardless Of Facts Or Evidence”:

“Like the Russian hacking narrative, the Trump-Russia collusion narrative, the Russian bounties in Afghanistan narrative, and any other evidence-free framing of events that simultaneously advances pre-planned cold war agendas, is politically convenient for the Democratic party and generates clicks and ratings, the narrative that the New York Post publication of Hunter Biden’s emails is a Russian operation is going to be hammered and hammered and hammered until it becomes the mainstream consensus. This will happen regardless of facts and evidence, up to and including rock solid evidence that Hunter Biden’s emails were not published as a result of a Russian operation.”

All this makes me, despite all the disappointments, grateful for the orange bull in the china shop who is our Forty-fifth president: without Donald Trump, we would have never known how corrupt the “Deep State” and its slaves, the “legacy media” are; that aside from the power of murdering too vocal opponents, they are a feckless, embarrassing lot. While America’s future may not be bright, at least perhaps by accident, thanks to Donald Trump in this time of mandatory mask wearing, the masks of the puppeteers have been removed, and we can see them in all their ignominy, venality and fanatic idiocy. If we weren’t caught in the middle of this debacle, we’d all be having a good laugh. Maybe we should, anyway.
