Twitter needs to face serious consequences for their brazen censorship.

Twitter has confirmed that if Joe Biden were to replace Donald Trump in the White House, Trump would lose the “special protections” he gets as a world leader. This of course means that Twitter would censor him even more than they already do.

A Twitter spokesman said of these special protections: “This policy framework applies to current world leaders and candidates for office, and not private citizens when they no longer hold these positions.”

Many of Trump’s tweets, particularly those tweeted since Election Night, have been tagged with various disclaimers such as “This claim about election fraud is disputed” or “Learn how voting by mail is safe and secure” or “Official sources may not have called the race when this was Tweeted.”

Others are outright hidden behind a disclaimer and “view” button, as seen in the screenshot below:

Twitter’s behavior has been absolutely despicable and all signs point to it getting worse. What makes it all the more infuriating is the role they’ve played in spreading the false idea that Joe Biden has won the presidency. Various accounts of voter fraud, several pending legal challenges, and the mid-December deadline for certifying election results inform our decision to maintain that Biden is not the president-elect.
