Is Dachau in sight? On a beach, the horizon we see is 2.7 miles away. That’s pretty close. We can walk it in under an hour.

I can now see something pretty close on our political horizon: Dachau. Dachau was one of the most horrible death camps run by the Nazis for the purpose of exterminating Jews. I have visited Dachau, and it is gruesome. According to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, “Scholars believe that at least 40,000 prisoners died there.” Many of these were Jews.

The owner/headmaster of a private school where I once taught used to pose this rhetorical question: “Where do all Socialist dictatorships end?” His answer: “Dachau!”

Over the past few weeks, we have seen how America is on the path to Dachau on our nightly news. The pro-Palestinian protestors on elite college campuses began by chanting, “Free Palestine!” This quickly led to chants of “Death to Jews!”

Kristallnacht 2024 in America

A significant event paving the road to Dachau was Kristallnacht, the night of broken glass. On November 9, 1938, Nazi Brownshirts and others smashed the glass store windows of Jewish businesses, beat any Jews caught on the streets, and burned or damaged over 1000 synagogues. This happened all over Germany and Austria. Kristallnacht was organized by the Nazis.

We are now seeing the Woke-Neo Marxist cabal of University professors and George Soros funded groups organizing college students to perform “pro-Palestine” violence, intimidation of Jewish students, and obstruction on campuses, public places, and roads. This is Kristallnacht 2024 in America.

Why Did We Fight?

I have friends who are WWII veterans and who fought against the murderous Nazis in Europe. They ask, “Why did we fight? The same thing is now happening here in America!” What is the same thing? Shouting “Kill the Jews.” Picking a group to demonize and eventually round up and kill. Not only is this happening in America but praised and justified on the nightly news of the mainstream media.

Back in 1945, even some American soldiers weren’t sure why we were fighting Nazis. An article on the National WWII Museum website provides the answer: “Ohrdruf was the first Nazi camp to be liberated by US forces. On April 12, a week after the camp’s liberation, Generals Dwight D. Eisenhower, George S. Patton, and Omar Bradley toured the site …a Nazi labor camp and a subcamp of the Buchenwald system, … a pile of roughly 30 emaciated bodies was discovered, sprinkled with lime in an attempt to cover the smell. Patton, a man privy to the violent scenes of war, refused to enter this shed as the sights and smells in the camp had previously caused him to vomit against the side of a building. German citizens from the nearby town of Ohrdruf were forced to view the camp and bury the dead, a practice that was later repeated in other camp liberations.”

“Following the discovery of Ohrdruf, Eisenhower stated simply but profoundly: ‘We are told the American soldier does not know what he is fighting for. Now, at least, we know what he is fighting against.’” [Emphasis added]

What are we fighting against?

We should be fighting against Genocidal Anti-Semitism. We should be fighting against this Woke practice of singling out groups to be demonized and discriminated against in our society, no matter if they are Jews, Catholics, Trump supporters, believers in 1^st Amendment free speech rights, or parents wanting to protect their children from trans-grooming pedophiles.
