Charlie Rowley, the British man who UK authorities claim was exposed to Novichok nerve agent, is no longer in a critical condition, according to hospital officials. Rowley, 45, is being treated at Salisbury District Hospital where his condition is described as “serious, but stable.” Rowley and his partner Dawn Sturgess were admitted to hospital after being found unconscious at a house in Amesbury on June 30. Sturgess, 44, died on Sunday evening, and Rowley spent days in a coma. Nursing Director Lorna Wilkinson said doctors were hopeful he’ll make a recovery. “Charlie still has some way to go to recover but the progress we’ve seen so far gives us cause for optimism,” she said in a statement cited by Reuters.
