Here we go again. More research forcing children to use technology throughout the day:
“Lawrence University professor develops app to track teens’ emotions”
“What we’re trying to do is harness smartphones, which might typically be used for distraction but actually use them to help adolescents pay better attention to how their feeling, and how their body’s feeling. So, it’s kind of an anti-distraction in a way, it’s more like being mindful about what you’re doing,” Hilt said.
To do that, the app will then send notifications to the young teen a few times throughout the day, asking a series of questions about their mood.

The Mindfulness study team at Lawrence is looking for 80 children between ages 12 and 15 to participate in the paid study that will begin this fall.
This is mindfulness boggling. Professor of Psychology and author of iGen, Dr. Jean Twenge, recently told CNN
We’re on the brink of the worst mental health crisis in decades.
She is attributing this to excessive screen use by children. She has said this before.
So this Lawrence University “Mindfulness” Study is encouraging more screen time in children. Doesn’t this seem totally inappropriate and cruel? What kind of person or organization would fund such a study?
There’s plenty of formal and informal research that’s already been done indicating that screen use by kids is often having very negative results.
News reports and research about “Digital Addiction” and excessive screen use by children are beyond horrifying.
Research has also determined that artificial light from screens is harmful also and not just to eyes.
Tech inventors have been limited their own kids’ use of tech for many years now – even sending them to private “low-tech” schools while public schools have collectively spent billions to become “high tech.” Many articles have been written about how this has also had very negative results.
There have been documentaries produced which provide plenty of research why encouraging tech use and radiation exposure among children is a bad idea. Medical experts including the American Academy of Pediatrics have encouraged reducing “screen time” due to exposure for many years.
No “safe” level of cell phone or wireless WiFi radiation has been scientifically determined for children or pregnant women.
Even the American Cancer Society’s chief medical officer referred to results from a U.S. government study on cell phone radiation as a “game changer.”
It’s not just cancer risk. Research has confirmed that exposure to all sources of cell phone and wireless WiFi radiation disrupts the blood-brain barrier which can cause it to leak. This obviously isn’t desirable for many reasons – emotionally, spiritually, or otherwise.
